Man Charged With Setting Fires In North Haven: Police

Police say the man set a series of small fires in North Haven last fall.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A North Haven man was arrested Tuesday for setting a series of small fires in town last fall, according to police. Anthony Laudano, 28, was arrested Jan. 29 following an investigation that involved North Haven Detectives, the North Haven Fire Department and the Connecticut State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit.

Laudano was charged with three counts of reckless burning, one count of second-degree criminal mischief and one count of third-degree criminal mischief. He was released on a $15,000 bond.

Police said Laudano "used bottles of gasoline to ignite fires on the properties of others, including a fire on a train trestle that created a serious risk to public safety."
