Man Charged In String Of Burglaries In North Haven: Police

The man was arrested in connection with five separate burglaries of businesses in North Haven, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Hamden man has been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries in North Haven, according to police.

Xuanting Yan, 39, was arrested Monday on burglary and larceny charges, according to police.

Police said the arrest stems from a string of nighttime burglaries North Haven detectives were investigating in 2023. Yan was identified as the suspect, and several arrest warrants were secured, according to police.

He was tied to five separate burglaries of North Haven businesses, police said.

Yan was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court, according to police.

He also has other pending cases in connection with burglaries in Cromwell, Milford, North Haven, Wallingford, and Wethersfield, according to state judicial records.
