Man Made $2K In Fraudulent Purchases In 1 Minute: North Haven PD
Police say the victim believes her debit card was compromised by a skimming device.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are asking for help with identifying a man they say made nearly $2,000 worth of fraudulent purchases within a minute of each other at Stop & Shop in North Haven. Police say the purchases were made on Oct. 5 at the Stop & Shop located at 79 Washington Avenue.
The first purchase was made at 11:09 a.m. in the amount of $977.41, while the second was at 11:10 a.m. in the amount of $990, according to police. To sign up for North Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.
Police said the victim believes her debit card was compromised from a skimming device. Anyone who could help identify the suspect is asked to contact the North Haven Police Department at (203) 239-1616.
