Man Stole SUV Out Of Garage In North Haven: Police

The man was arrested on a warrant, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A Bridgeport man has been arrested for stealing a car out of a garage in North Haven, according to police. A Russell Road resident reported to police that an Acura MDX was stolen from his garage. The victim told police that the keys were in the SUV, but his garage door was closed prior to the theft.

Police said the vehicle was located one day later in New Haven. Francis Tarik, 22, of Bridgeport was identified as a suspect and police obtained an arrest warrant. To sign up for North Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.

Tarik was arrested Sept. 24 and charged with first-degree larceny and second-degree burglary. He was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court and held on a $50,000 bond, according to police.
