Man Threatened To Kill Woman After Exposing Himself: Police
Police say a motel worker was arrested twice in one week in North Haven.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A motel worker was arrested twice in one week after police say he exposed himself to a woman and then threatened to kill her if she called police. On July 13, Steven Revera Freytes, 37, who is the maintenance man at a local motel, asked a prospective renter to come into his room, according to police.
Police said when the victim opened the door, Freytes was standing in the room exposed. The victim said she was going to call the police and Freytes threatened to kill the woman if she called 911, according to police. The woman ran away and called police. Freytes was charged with public indecency, second-degree threatening, disorderly conduct and interfering with police. He was released on a $1,000 bond.
Then on July 20, police said Freytes sent a picture to the victim in which he was holding a gun and the message said he knows where she lives and “this” is for her calling the police. Officers located Freytes and took him into custody. He was charged with first-degree threatening, tampering with a witness, breach of peace and criminal possession of a firearm. Freytes was held on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court today (July 23).
