Masked Man Attempted to Rob Gas Station at Knifepoint: North Haven Police
The front door was locked and the employee refused to let the suspect in, police said. The suspect fled and a K-9 track was initiated.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — North Haven Police are investigating an attempted robbery of the Sunoco Gas Station on Washington Avenue during the overnight hours on Dec. 26.
Police responded to the gas station, located at 641 Washington Avenue, at about 2:20 a.m. on the report that a man, who was wearing all black clothing with a mask covering his face, attempted to break into the locked front doors of the gas station while brandishing a knife.
Police said the employee saw the man brandishing the knife and refused entry, then called the police.

The man was last seen fleeing on foot south on Washington Avenue, according to police.
North Haven Police K-9 Zeus tracked the suspect’s scent south to an empty parking lot where the suspect is believed to have had a waiting vehicle, according to police.
