North Haven Man Acted as 'Getaway Driver' at Burlington Coat Factory: Orange Police
Police said one man stole items while the other was in the car and ready to drive away.

ORANGE, CT — A North Haven man and a West Haven man are accused of stealing clothing items from Burlington Coat Factory in Orange, police said.
Officers responded to the Burlington Coat Factory store for a reported larceny on Nov. 22. Officers learned that arrestee Franklin Wells, 51, of West Haven, had entered the store and removed $210 worth of clothing without paying, police said.
Pedro Viera, 38, of North Haven, was waiting in the parking lot as the ‘getaway’ driver, police said. Both were taken into custody and charged. Wells is charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. Viera is charged with conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

They were released after posting a $500 bond.
