North Haven Police Investigating New Year's Day Theft at Mobil Gas Station

North Haven police have identified a suspect who stole cash from a register at the Mobil Gas station on Washington Avenue on New Year’s Day and are continuing the investigation.

Police responded to the station, located at 276 Washington Avenue, at about 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1 on the report of a theft.

Police said an investigation revealed a white female in her late 20s climbed onto the store counter and removed cash from the store register while an attendant was distracted outside.

The suspect’s vehicle was a blue 2007 Chevy Cobalt.
