North Haven Residents Continue Family Legacy At SHA-Hamden
Two North Haven residents are following in the footsteps of their mothers and grandmothers at Sacred Heart Academy.
HAMDEN, CT — (From Sacred Heart Academy): Legacies from the incoming Class of 2023 at Sacred Heart Academy were recognized this winter at the annual Incoming Freshmen Orientation. Nine members of the class have mothers who are alumnae and three members of the class have grandmothers who are alumnae. Seventeen class members have one or more sisters who are current students or graduates of the Academy (19 sisters in all.) Members of the entering class come from 25 towns and 39 feeder schools.
“Sacred Heart legacy is again strongly represented in this class,” announced Director of Admissions Elaine Lamboley ’60 in welcoming the Class of 2023. “We are particularly struck with the number of alumnae who are sending their daughters to Sacred Heart. The presence of these young women at the Academy is a testament to the importance that families place on the values learned here, and their desire to ensure that the Sacred Heart tradition continues.”
