North Haven Sex Offender Accused of Concealing Social Media Account
The man was arrested for violating the requirements of his sex offender registry status.

A registered North Haven sex offender is accused of attempting to conceal a social media account and will face the criminal charges in court on Jan. 22, according to a police press release.
Bryan Morrell, 27, of Kings Highway, was arrested Thursday after police said he violated the requirements of his Sex Offender Registry status. Morrell was arrested in 2001 and convicted of first-degree sexual assault.
Based on this conviction, he is required by law to validate his address and any social media accounts with the Connecticut State Police Sex Offender Registry Unit, according to police.

In December 2014, North Haven Detectives worked with the Sex Offender Registry Unit to find a social media account Morrell was attempting to conceal.
Morrell was arrested for this violation and is due to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 22.
