North Haven Woman Charged In Connection With Armed Robbery: Guilford Police

A gas station in Guilford was robbed at knifepoint in the early morning hours of July 14, 2025, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A North Haven woman is the third person charged in connection with a July armed robbery of a Guilford gas station, according to police.

Jennifer Selmquist, 48, was charged on Jan. 8 with conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery with a dangerous weapon. Her arrest warrant came with a $200,000 bond.

Investigators used various investigative techniques to link Selmquist to the armed robbery, her arrest warrant explains.

In November, police announced the arrests of Justin Marco, 31, and Joseph Quinn, 52, both of East Haven.

On Monday, July 14, 2025, at approximately 1:19 a.m., Guilford police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Phillips 66 gas station at 1046 Boston Post Road, police said in a news release at the time the men were arrested.

"The store clerk reported that a male suspect entered the business, brandished a long knife, and demanded money, saying, 'Give me the money or I will kill you.' The clerk complied, handing over cash and a pack of cigarettes," police said.

Selmquist's arrest warrant notes Quinn took approximately $300.

Security camera footage captured the robbery and showed that approximately 20 minutes earlier, an accomplice briefly entered the store and left without making a purchase, police said.

Later in the morning, police said, the same suspect who committed the Guilford robbery attempted a robbery in North Haven.

After an "extensive investigation and collaboration" with East Haven and North Haven police, investigators identified Quinn as the primary suspect and Marco as his accomplice, police noted.

Police recovered video surveillance footage that showed a gray Volkswagen Jetta dropping Quinn and Marco off at a residence in East Haven several hours after the robberies took place on July 14, according to Selmquist's arrest warrant.

North Haven Police provided information to Guilford authorities that a vehicle matching the Jetta's description was seen in nearby surveillance footage around the time of the North Haven incident.

Police later identified the vehicle as belonging to Selmquist, her arrest warrant said.

Selmquist subsequently told police she had rented her vehicle to Quinn and Marco for $200 for two days, and that she was not present and not aware of the multiple robberies that occurred, police said in her arrest warrant.

Police said Selmquist gave "evasive answers" and "false alibis" during interviews with police.

"Call Detail Records obtained from Selmquist's cellular phone, a data extraction form Selmquist's seized vehicle's infotainment system, and a data extraction of Selmquist's cellular phone, all indicated Selmquist was inside the vehicle while all robberies occurred," police wrote in the arrest warrant.

The CT Judicial Branch website notes Selmquist was previously arrested by North Haven police on Nov. 7, 2025, and charged her with attempt to commit first-degree robbery with a dangerous instrument, accessory to first-degree robbery with a dangerous instrument, and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery with a dangerous instrument -- all with an offense date of July 14, 2025.
