Obituary: Anna R. Amarante, 86; Formerly of North Haven

Anna R. Amarante, 86, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Harborside Health Care-The Willows in Woodbridge. She was born in New Haven on March 22, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Alfonse and Assunta Piscoppo Amarante. Anna had worked as a floor manager for the former Strause-Adler Company of New Haven and was a parishioner of St. Barnabas Church. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Jennie Petrosemolo, Marie, Stephen and Pat Amarante, and Josephine Palmieri.

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Thursday morning (Sept. 27) at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 11:30. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
