Obituary: David M. O’Connell, 74, Formerly Of North Haven

David M. O’Connell, 74, of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Spring Hill Health & Rebab with his loving wife of 53 years Roberta Bartlett O’Connell by his side. David was born in New Haven on December 1, 1943 and was the son of late Joseph and Agnes McNulty O’Connell. He was a 1961 graduate of Hillhouse High School.

David had worked as an IT Specialist for Rhodia Company for many years until his retirement. He was a member for 25 years and past Master of the Corinthian Masonic Lodge #63 of North Haven. David was an avid golfer playing three or four times a week and enjoyed playing poker, bocci and loved to travel.

Father of Michael David (Helena) O’Connell and the late Kathleen O’Connell. Grandfather of Tara (Emily) Vega, Ian and Evan Stockmon, Christopher O’Connell and Meghan (Frank) Prefitier. Brother of Brian and John O’Connell, the late William and Robert O’Connell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Friday morning (June 1) at 11:30. Family and friends may call from 9:00 until time of service. Interment will follow in the North Haven Center Cemetery.
