Jean Meeneghan Mercuri, 89, of Wallingford, formerly of North Haven, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on October 9, 2018 at Masonicare Health Center. She was the beloved wife of 36 years of Robert A. Mercuri and was predeceased by her first husband, Robert W. Meeneghan. Jean was born in Cooperstown, NY on October 7, 1929, the daughter of the late Anthony and Clara Stone Crowley.

Jean enjoyed her years as a Teacher’s Aide in the Media Center of North Haven High School and volunteered often as a parishioner of St. Barnabas Church. Besides enjoying time with her family, she loved to sew, restore furniture and would never miss the chance to dance. Her warm and loving spirit will be missed by her children Michael (Linda) Meeneghan, Kim (Honore) Meeneghan, Karen (Charles) Sicard, Barbara (James) Blackie; stepchildren Carol (Dennis) Hannon and Janice (Steven) Grossman; loving brother Robert (Joyce) Crowley of New Jersey, 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
