Obituary: Michael Albert Esposito, 79, of North Haven

He served with the U.S. Coast Guard and later worked as an IT Analyst for Connecticut.

Michael Albert Esposito, 79, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, 26 October 2018 with his family by his side. Mr. Esposito was the beloved husband of RoseMarie Marsico Esposito for 57 years. He was born in New Haven on 25 January 1939, and the son of the late Albert and Carmel DePino Esposito.

Mr. Esposito served with the U.S. Coast Guard and later worked as an IT Analyst for Connecticut. Some of Mr. Esposito’s favorite pastimes included woodworking, reading, crosswords, cheering on his favorite team–the Green Bay Packers, and most of all, Sunday dinners with his family. Mr. Esposito was a longtime parishioner of St. Therese Church; he was a member of their men’s club and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Esposito leaves behind his children–Alberta Goodwin, Michael Esposito (Sarah McNeal), and Salvatore Esposito (Kate), his grandchildren–Christopher (Kaitlyn), Matthew and Jessica Goodwin, Isabella Esposito, and Emma Wright, and his siblings–Marie Vernon (Walter) and Elaine Salvati (James). He is predeceased by his son-in-law, James Goodwin. His family would like to thank his caregivers, especially Liz and Jessica.

The funeral procession will leave North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Tuesday morning (Oct. 30) at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, North Haven at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Masonicare, 22 Masonic Avenue, Wallingford, CT 06492.
