Obituary: Robert J. Cummings, 49, of North Haven

Robert J. Cummings, 49, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Donna M. Cox Cummings. Robert was born in New Haven on October 22, 1968 and was the son of Agatha Fisher Cummings and the late Walter Cummings Sr.

He had worked as a Lieutenant at the Cheshire Correctional Institution until his retirement in 2016. Robert was a North Haven volunteer firefighter with the West Ridge Department. He was a board member of the North Haven Fair Association and a member of the Corinthian Masonic Lodge of North Haven. Father of Crystal D. Chittenden (Jack Jaeger), Christopher W. and Michael J. Cummings. Brother of Walter Cummings Jr. and Patrick Cummings.
