Obituary: William ‘Bill’ Leslie Maroney Jr., 75, of North Haven

William “Bill” Leslie Maroney Jr., 75, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Ann Longobardi Maroney.

Bill was born in New Haven on September 1, 1942 and was the son of William L. Maroney Sr. and the late Antoinette Golia Maroney. He had worked as a personal director/manager for the O.F. Mossberg Co. for 17 years, a manager for the West Haven and Windsor Board of Education for the Blind and later as a manager for the New Haven Job Corp. Bill had served in the National Guard and was a member of the Masonic Corinthian Lodge #103 of North Haven.

Father of Eric and Jonathan Maroney. Grandfather of Jonathan Maroney II. Brother of Linda (Jack) Martin and John Maroney. Bill was known by family and friends to be an extremely selfless man who focused always on the needs of his family. He was a gentle and kind person who will truly be missed.
