Police Ask For Public’s Assistance After Latest Heroin Overdose In North Haven
Police revived a 24-year-old man with a dose of Narcan on Wednesday night.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — In the wake of the latest heroin overdose in town, North Haven Police are asking for the public’s assistance with information on the distribution of drugs in North Haven.
On Wednesday night, North Haven Police responded to a State Street residence on the report of a heroin overdose. The first officer to arrive on the scene found a 24-year-old man unconscious on the floor of his friend’s home. (To sign up for North Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
The officer administered a dose of Naloxone (Narcan) to revive the man, police said. The man was transported to an area hospital for medical assistance.

Emergency crews also revived an unresponsive man with a dose of Narcan this past weekend. Police responded to a residence in the Washington Avenue area on the report of an unresponsive male, who police said officers were able to identify as a heroin user.
“North Haven Police are seeking assistance from the public,” police said in a post on Facebook on Thursday morning. “Anyone with information regarding the distribution of illegal drugs are asked to contact police at 203-239-5321, or email the information to crimetips@town.north-haven.ct.us.”
