Police Identify 7-Week-Old Baby Who Died In North Haven: Report

Emergency crews responded to a report of an unresponsive infant last week in North Haven.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — The 7-week-old baby who died last week in North Haven has been identified by police as Logan Charpentier, according to the Meriden Record-Journal. The cause of death is still being determined, the Record-Journal reports.

North Haven Police and the state’s attorney’s office are continuing to investigate the baby’s death after emergency crews responded to a Fortune Drive home early Friday afternoon on the report of an unresponsive infant. Crews attempted lifesaving efforts while taking the infant to Yale-New Haven Hospital but the 7-week-old was pronounced dead just after 3 p.m., according to police.

"So far, the investigation revealed the child was home alone with the father prior to the 911 call that summoned assistance," police wrote in a post on Facebook on Friday night. "The child's mother arrived at the home to find the child was not breathing, and paramedics were called. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family who are mourning the loss of this 7-week-old infant."
