Police Investigating ‘Suspicious’ Incident In North Haven

NORTH HAVEN, CT — North Haven Police are investigating a “suspicious” incident that occurred inside a store on Universal Drive. Police say the investigation was launched after they received several reports of a post on social media that involved several men who were taking pictures of women and children inside a store.

“We have received a number of social media inquiries, as well as inquiries from traditional media regarding a person who posted to social media details of a suspicious incident that occurred in a Universal Drive store,” police wrote in a post on Facebook on Monday night. “This incident was not reported to us initially. We researched and identified the person who posted the information and scheduled an interview with them to gather the facts.

“The post was regarding several men who were taking pictures of women and children inside of a store. This incident will be investigated by North Haven Police.”
