The Board of Education Transportation Safety Committee will be holding a public hearing Thursday, October 13 to discuss changing the pick up and drop off locations for the intersection of Summer Drive and Jersey Drive to 10 Jersey Drive.
The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Board of Education Conference Room in the Town Hall Annex.
Later that evening at 6:30 p.m., the BOE's Finance and Operations Committee will convene to discuss the 2011-2012 pubic school budget.

In other school news, high school juniors will take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 12. The test will serve as a preview of the SAT, and serve as the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship.
Freshman and sophomores will take a reading, writing, science and mathematics assessment.

On the day of the test, seniors will have a delayed school day, scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m.
The bus schedule will remain unchanged, so seniors will need to organize their own transportation to school.
