24 Quinnipiac University students inducted into Pi Theta Epsilon honor society

NORTH HAVEN – Twenty-four occupational therapy students were inducted into Pi Theta Epsilon, the occupational therapy honor society at Quinnipiac University, during a recent campus ceremony.

The students inducted were: Breanna Ciardullo of Valhalla, New York; Jenna Coppola of Staten Island, New York; Michelle Galdi of Park Ridge, New Jersey; Brianna Gibson of North Easton, Massachusetts; Amanda Gold of East Brunswick, New Jersey; Olivia Gougler of Clifton Park, New York; Sabine Hasan of Manalapan, New Jersey; Ashley Hong of Stratford, Connecticut; Emma Kilgallon of Fairfield, Connecticut; Megan Leonard of Somers, Connecticut; Dylin Marano of Newtown, Connecticut; Janelle Mathew of Charlotte, North Carolina; Morgan McConnell of Oaklyn, New Jersey; Morgan Miller of Reading, Massachusetts; Angelina Neto of Brimfield, Massachusetts; Caitlyn Pawlek of Milltown, New Jersey; Alexandria Persico of Manalapan, New Jersey; Sophia Porcelli of Matawan, New Jersey; Melanie Quint of North Andover, Massachusetts; Kathryn Rich of Smithfield, Rhode Island; Madison Smith of Ramsey, New Jersey; Paige Velie of Londonderry, New Hampshire; Katherine Welch of Waterford, Connecticut; and Migdalia Wood of Trumbull, Connecticut.

Students inducted into the society must exhibit superior academic performance; the society requires students to have a 3.5 overall GPA and be in the top 35 percent of their class. All of this year’s inductees had a GPA of 3.7 or higher.

Founded by the American Occupational Therapy Foundation, Pi Theta Epsilon’s mission is to promote research and scholarship for occupational therapy students. The society offers students opportunities to complete a research project, sponsor scholarly presentations and partake in national conferences. It also opens networking opportunities with alumni and other universities.
