Road Closures Announced For 5K In North Haven
The Tessa Marie Memorial 5K and 1-mile fun run will take place on Sunday morning in North Haven.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are advising residents of several road closures that will take place on Sunday morning (Nov. 12) due to the Tessa Marie Memorial 5K and 1-mile fun run, which is hosted by the North Haven Rotary Club. The race will begin and end at the North Haven High School at 221 Elm Street in North Haven.
Residents should be aware that at 9:15 .am. the police department will be closing the following streets until approximately 10:30 a.m.:
1) Bailey Road between Elm St. and Maple Ave.
2) Pool Road between Maple Ave. and South Ave.
3) Laydon Avenue between Maple Ave. and Pequot Ave.

In addition, the 5K course will extend into the “grove” area on the following roads:
1) Tennyson Avenue
2) Shaw Drive
3) Virginia Road
4) South Avenue

These roads in the “grove” area will not be closed, however, residents should be aware that participants will be using these roads during the race and extra caution should be used when driving, police said.
Maple Avenue will be open to northbound and southbound traffic.
Police and Fire Police will be present at all major intersections to assist participants and motor vehicle traffic.
