Second Suspect Charged in Connection to Gas Station Burglary: North Haven Police
Police said one of the men used a saw to break into the gas station and the pair is accused of stealing more than $3K worth of items.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — North Haven Police have arrested a second suspect in connection to a recent burglary at a State Street gas station.
Gregory Avitabile, 43, was arrested on a warrant Thursday (Jan. 26). Avitabile is accused of working in tandem with Joseph Denegris, 50, who was arrested on Wednesday.
Police said the pair broke into a State Street Gas Station on Jan. 18 and stole more than $3,000 worth of items, including cigarettes, energy drinks, chewing tobacco, and miscellaneous over-the-counter medication.

Denegris is accused of using a saw to cut through the wall and gain access into the building, according to police.
Avitabile was charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and larceny. He was held on a $150,000 bond and will be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court.
