The suspects fled from police in a foot chase through several backyards.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are continuing to investigate a series of car burglaries that occurred during the early morning hours on Monday in North Haven. Several suspects fled on foot and eluded police. At about 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 21, a Briarwood Circle resident reported observing four or five subjects attempting to enter vehicles before fleeing in a dark sedan, according to North Haven Police.

Police said about 15 minutes later, a Sugar Hill Road resident was alerted by an activated car alarm and a suspect was seen running away. Officers responded to the area and engaged in a foot pursuit through the rear yards of several homes, according to police.

Several other subjects also fled on foot from a stolen dark-colored Audi sedan. East Haven Police and Connecticut State Police assisted in setting a perimeter and conducting a K-9 track for the suspects, according to North Haven Police.
