‘Shelter In Place’ Issued In North Haven: Police

Police are advising residents in the area to "shelter in place" due to a "contained situation."

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police are advising residents to “shelter in place” in the area of Cloudland Road due to a “contained situation.”

“There is police activity in the area of Cloudland Road,” police wrote in a post on Facebook Monday night. “It is a contained situation we are working to resolve. We are asking for people to shelter in place if you live on Cloudland Road and surrounding areas, Carolyn Court and Sugarhill. We will update when the situation is resolved.”

In an update Tuesday morning, police said, "North Haven Police and the South Central Regional SWAT team continue to work to resolve an incident in the area of Cloudland Road. It is a contained situation, but we are asking for people to remain under a shelter in place if you live on Cloudland Road and surrounding areas, Carolyn Court and Sugarhill. Thank you."
