Teen Charged In Threatening Incident At North Haven High School: PD
A student from another town brought what appeared to be a gun to North Haven in an after-school incident last week, according to police.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — A 17-year-old Branford resident was arrested Tuesday in connection with an incident at North Haven High School last week, according to police.
Police said the suspect brought what appeared to be a gun to the school on Thursday. The incident happened after school and it was brought to the attention of a School Resource Officer at North Haven High School on Friday morning, according to police.
There was an increased police presence at the school on Friday “out of an abundance of caution,” officials said at the time.

“Initial reports indicate this incident was not random or a generalized threat to staff or students, but rather involved specific individuals known to each other,” police said on Friday.
North Haven detectives executed search warrants at around 6 a.m. Tuesday at the suspect’s home and their vehicle, according to police.

The 17-year-old Branford resident was arrested and charged with threatening and breach of peace, according to police.
Police said the teen has also been banned from all North Haven Board of Education sites.
The incident remains under investigation, according to police.
