Teen Stole Car In North Haven, Fled To New York: Police

The 16-year-old was located and arrested in New York, according to police.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A 16-year-old North Haven resident has been arrested after he was located in New York operating a stolen vehicle that was taken from North Haven, according to police.

Police said the teen had been reported missing on Aug. 14. On that day, he was suspected of stealing a Clarke Avenue resident’s vehicle and fleeing toward New York City, according to police. (To sign up for North Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

The 16-year-old will be detained pending arraignment and the vehicle has been returned to the owner, police said.
