Thanks For The Memories: Property Sold, The Only Game In Town Closing
After 36 years in business, the go-to spot for go-karting, arcade gaming and mini-golf in North Haven will close for good on Sept. 11.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — The famed North Haven entertainment venue, The Only Game In Town, noted on Facebook that after 36 years, it's closing its doors for good on Sept. 11.
The most frequent line in the more than 100 comments on its social media post announcing its closure is a "thank you for the memories."
The Only Game In Town has been a popular spot for decades for mini golf, go-karts, indoor black light mini-golf, arcade games, a driving range and more.

"We regret to inform you that The Only Game in Town will be closing its doors permanently September 11th, 2022. Thank you all for your business and ongoing support for the past 36 years. It has been a pleasure serving families in the community. Please come and use any gift cards, rain checks, or vouchers before our final day."

A common refrain: "Sad to hear this. I loved coming there as a kid, had so many great memories. And have bringing my kids a few times a year during your open season. Thanks for all the memories, this place will be truly missed."
And: "we were just there. So sad, we had some great memories recently and as little kids there. Sad news!!"
And while it was not addressed in the body of the post, the 'why it's closing' was addressed in the comments section. "The Only Game property was purchased by a local guy. We talk and see him daily." The address of The Only Game In Town is 275 Valley Service Road.
It's unclear what will happen to the site.
