Victims Identified In Fiery Crash On I-91 In North Haven: State Police

Two people were killed in a crash on I-91 in North Haven last week.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Police have identified the two people who were killed in a fiery crash on I-91 in North Haven last Wednesday.

Brianna Sabol, 26, of Milford, was identified as the driver and 27-year-old Anton Miguel Colon-Duffy of Meriden was the passenger, police said in an update on Tuesday morning. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Sabol was driving a 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS around 8 p.m. on Nov. 30 that was traveling on I-91 North near Exit 12 when the vehicle passed the Exit 12 off ramp and ran off the road to the right, according to Connecticut State Police.

Police said the Hyundai went down the embankment and crashed into a tree and caught on fire. The driver and passenger suffered fatal injuries in the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene by the North Haven Fire Department, according to police.

Any witnesses of the crash are asked to contact State Trooper Rickey Cyr at 203-393-4200 or email rickey.cyr@ct.gov. Also, anyone with a dash cam who was driving through the area at the time of the crash is asked to contact Cyr.
