Wanted Man Charged For Assaulting Woman With Pipe: North Haven PD
The man, who police say has been in hiding, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his estranged girlfriend with a pipe more than 2 years ago

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A man who has been wanted for more than two years for assaulting his estranged girlfriend with a pipe was arrested Monday, according to North Haven Police. On June 8, 2016, North Haven Police responded to a Washington Avenue parking lot on the report of a serious assault.
Police said investigators learned Sterling Hubbard, 55, struck his estranged girlfriend in the face with a pipe several times. The victim was able to drive away and call 911. To sign up for North Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.
Hubbard fled the area prior to police arrival and has been hiding ever since, police said. Since 2016, several agencies, in state and out of state, assisted with the North Haven Police Department’s search.

Hubbard was charged with second-degree assault, violation of a protective order, threatening and breach of peace. Hubbard was arraigned this Monday morning and is being held on a $150,000 bond.
