Wanted Man Tasered Following Struggle With Officers: North Haven PD
The man, who police say was found with crack cocaine, is accused of engaging officers in pursuit several times to avoid being apprehended.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A wanted North Haven man was taken into custody after being subdued with a Taser following a struggle with North Haven and East Haven officers on Sunday, according to police. The man, who was apprehended in East Haven, was found to be in possession of two bags of crack cocaine, according to North Haven Police.
North Haven Police said a pursuit in early April resulted an arrest warrant being issued for Paul Ciccarelli, 48, of North Haven. Police said Ciccarelli had engaged officers in pursuit several times to avoid apprehension. (To sign up for North Haven breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
On Sunday, April 30, North Haven Police officers received a tip from a citizen that Ciccarelli would be arriving at a Mill Street Apartment Complex in East Haven.

North Haven and East Haven officers stopped Ciccarelli as he drove into the parking lot. North Haven Police said a short struggle ensued and a Taser was used to subdue Ciccarelli.
Ciccarelli was found to be in possession of two bags of crack cocaine, according to police.

Ciccarelli was transported to North Haven Police headquarters and charged with reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit and failure to obey officer signal. He was additionally charged with interfering with an officer and possession of narcotics.
Ciccarelli was also served with two additional outstanding failure to appear warrants. He was held on several bonds pending appearance in Meriden Superior Court, according to police.
