Wanted Woman Crashes Into Barrier, Gets Arrested: North Haven PD

Police say the woman, who had previously crashed into 2 vehicles while eluding officers, was trying to flee at the time of the crash.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A North Haven woman who was wanted on an arrest warrant was taken into custody Friday after crashing into a concrete barrier while trying to flee from police, according to North Haven Police.

Police say detectives attempted to stop a vehicle operated by Christy Gorman, 30, on July 18 for an active arrest warrant for violation of probation. Police said Gorman fled at a high rate of speed and collided with two vehicles while fleeing from police.

On Friday, detectives located Gorman in a vehicle in New Haven. After a brief pursuit, the vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier and Gorman was taken into custody, according to police.

Gorman was charged with violation of probation, engaging officers in pursuit and two counts of evading responsibility. Gorman was also wanted by other agencies for criminal charges, police said. She is being held on bond.
