Woman Assaulted At Beach, 3 North Haven Residents Arrested: Milford Police

Police say the victim was bleeding from the head and the accused were trying to hide from police.

MILFORD, CT — Milford police say five people have been charged for their role in an alleged assault that occurred at Walnut Beach. Police said on July 22, officers made contact with a female at Walnut Beach, who was bleeding from the head and she told officers she was attacked by two males and three females.

During the investigation, officers saw Michael Burrows, 22, of Fresh Meadow Lane, running from the scene in an attempt to avoid being arrested, police said. Burrows was found hiding in a bush on Shay Avenue and is accused of fighting with an officer before being taken into custody, police said. The four other individuals were found hiding under and behind vehicles in the beach parking lot, police said. All of the suspects are accused of engaging in a physical altercation with one female in the beach parking lot, police said. Police said Kaitlyn Pugliese, 19, of Sugar Hill Road in North Haven, was reported as instigating the fight but not being involved in it, police said.

Also charged were: Jordyn Petrillo, 19, of Shawmut Avenue in North Haven, Kayla Ferraiolo, 21, of Manilla Avenue, Milford, and Anthony Micarelli, 19, of North Hill Road, North Haven.

Pugliese is charged with second-degree breach of peace while the other four all face assault charges. Burrows is also charged with assault on a police officer.
