NORWALK, CT — One person was injured in a shooting that happened outside an apartment complex in Norwalk Saturday.
Police remained at the scene of the shooting late Saturday. The shooting occurred outside 36 Fairfield Avenue, according to a 11:30 update on the Norwalk, CT Police Twitter page.
"Detectives have taken the lead and there will be more details to follow," authorities said late Saturday.

Police first alerted the public to the incident shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday. At that time, authorities urged residents to avoid the area due to an "active investigation."
