Sarah Palin's show about Alaska may have been cancelled, but you can still get your look at the wild scenes of our most northernmost state at the 's IMAX Theater. The film, “Alaska: Spirit of the Wild” opens on Friday, March 4.
“So many people have dreams of visiting Alaska,” said Chris Loynd, the Aquarium’s marketing director. “If you have visited—or are going to—you’ll never see Alaska as large or as close or as beautifully framed as the producers have captured in this IMAX film.”
The film was the 1998 Academy Award nominee for best short-subject documentary, and delivers on the year round life in Alaska. Beavers, Mt. McKinley, bears, elk, and wolves surviving the harsh winter of near 50 below zero and thriving in the short summer.

Tickets for “Alaska: Spirit of the Wild” and “Whales” each are $9 for adults, $8 for seniors 65+ and $6.50 for children 2-12. Aquarium members receive $2 discounts. To include Aquarium admission with one of the films, tickets are $19.45 for adults, $17.95 for seniors and $14.45 for children.
