Allen Donald Fedor, 82; Owner of Fedor Auto Body; U.S. Air Force Veteran

Allen Donald Fedor, 82, loving husband of Elizabeth “Bergie” Fedor, passed away peacefully with family by his side April 5, 2015 at Norwalk Hospital.

Born August 1, 1932, in Norwalk, Connecticut, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Fedor.

Al struck the ideal balance of being a hardworking businessman and taking great pride in his family life. Upon his honorable discharge from the United States Air Force, Al returned home to Norwalk and started towards his career as an active owner of Fedor Auto Body in South Norwalk.

A longtime member of the South Norwalk Boat Club, Al loved boating, skeet shooting and traveling with Bergie and their close friends. In his later years, Al loved nothing more than sitting out in the backyard watching his grandchildren grow while the family huddled around the fire pit celebrating their Hungarian roots.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Bergie Fedor; his son Allen Fedor and wife Andrea of Norwalk; daughter Sandy DeVingo and husband Edward of Norwalk; son Randy Fedor of Norwalk; 10 grandchildren, Kelsie Fedor and husband Vinny Mangiacopra of Norwalk; Christopher Fedor of Norwalk; Andrew Fedor of Tucson, Arizona; Cassandra DeVingo of Norwalk; Randy Fedor, Jr. of Norwalk; Derek DeVingo of Norwalk; Brenna Arciola of Norwalk; AJ Fedor of Norwalk; Margaret Fedor of Norwalk; and Katherine Fedor of Norwalk. Al welcomed his first great-grandchild Owen Mangiacopra this winter.

He was predeceased by his brother Robert.

Friends may call Wednseday, April 8th, from 4:00 to 8:00PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 9th, at 10AM in St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk, CT. Internment with full military honors will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT.
