The exhibition viewing will be included with the purchase of a guided house tour at www.lockwoodmathewsmansion.com. This art exhibit was juried by Laurel Stern Boeck, a classically trained artist with an award-winning career in both portraits and landscapes. Ms. Boeck began her studies at the Art Students League of New York, earned a BFA from the School of Visual Arts, and further honed her skills at the John Murray Atelier before completing her MFA at the New York Academy of Art. Her work can be seen in private collections, boardrooms, universities, supreme courts, and Washington institutions.
This exhibition will focus on hand-rendered portraiture, spanning traditional realism, classical approaches, contemporary interpretations, and experimental, conceptual work.
LMMM Trustee and Art Committee Chair Gail Ingis will curate this exploration.
LMMM’s 2026 contemporary art exhibits are sponsored in part by LMMM Trustee Kathy Olsen, CPA and Trustee Gail Ingis. 2026 programs are made possible in part by LMMM’s Distinguished Benefactors: The City of Norwalk, The Maurice Goodman Foundation, Inc., and Lockwood-Mathews Foundation, Inc.; LMMM’s Leadership Patrons: Dr. Michele and Attorney Miklos Koleszar; and The Sealark Foundation, Inc. Simone Morris Enterprises to Honor Six Leaders and Teams at Its Signature Awards Celebration in Norwalk, CT
Join us on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, for an evening of recognition, connection, and community at HMTX in Norwalk — celebrating the leaders and teams who make room for everyone.
Now in its fourth year, the Inclusive Leadership Impact Awards (ILIA) brings together leaders, changemakers, and community members to honor the people building workplaces and communities where everyone belongs. The evening features the awards presentation alongside food, beverages, live music, and networking with a room full of leaders committed to inclusive impact.
This year's celebration recognizes six honorees across six categories:

Senator Bob Duff — Luminary Award

Natasha Agarwal — Visionary Voice Award

Breion Moses — Inclusive Leadership Business Impact Award

Dr. Isaac M. Adusu — Community Leader of the Year

KCSNY Home Delivered Meals Team — Community Team Award

Aditi Gaddam — Next Generation Inclusive Leader Award

Ten percent of ticket proceeds will support Women's Mentoring Network, a Connecticut nonprofit that empowers women through long-term mentoring, skills workshops, and educational support — continuing an ILIA tradition of giving back to a local community partner each year.
"Inclusive leadership isn't a slogan — it's the daily practice of making room for people, and this year's honorees live it,"said Simone Morris, Founder and CEO of Simone Morris Enterprises and creator of the ILIA Awards. "ILIA exists to recognize the leaders and teams doing that consistent, often quiet work, and to remind our community that when everyone belongs, everyone benefits."

The Art Monster Studio

Get ready to revamp your wardrobe and embrace sustainability! Art Monster Studio, DUCK DUCK SOAP, Sol & Luna Spirit Wellness, and Smiling Cat Upcycled Goods are thrilled to announce their Sustainable Clothing Swap, happening on Thurs, Oct 8th, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Art Monster Studio.

This exciting event is more than just a clothes swap; it’s a celebration of conscious consumption, community collaboration, and a commitment to minimizing our environmental impact. The goal is to divert clothing from landfills while providing participants with a fun and budget-friendly opportunity to refresh their closets.

Duck Duck Soap, Sol & Luna, and Smiling Cat Upcycled Goods are thrilled to partner with Five Fingaz and Art Monster Studio for this event. Cait Fitzpatrick of DUCK DUCK SOAP says "Fast fashion is a major contributor to environmental waste, and clothing swaps are a fantastic way to promote a circular economy and give new life to pre-loved items.”

How It Works:

Bring Your Clothes: Participants can bring up to 20 items of gently used adult clothing to donate. Please ensure all items are in good condition – think of things you would be comfortable loaning to a good friend.

Shop the Swap: Attendees are encouraged to take up to 20 items.

Give Back: Any leftover clothing will be donated to local organizations in need. This ensures that every item finds a new home and continues to benefit our community.

Any items that are unsuitable for donating will be sent to Trashie Textile Recycling. Trashie recycles, reuses or repurposes 95% of textiles sent to them.

Guidelines for Donations:

Good Condition Only: Please do not bring items with stains, tears, rips, or significant wear and tear.

No Children’s Clothing: This swap is exclusively for adult clothing.

Donation Drop off: Items may be dropped off at the Art Monster Studio @ 57 Chestnut Street, Norwalk before the event, starting Monday Oct 5th between 10am and 6pm. Items may also be brought the day of the event before 4pm. Please place items in the boxes provided.
