NORWALK, CT — Chick-fil-A has announced a reopening date for its Norwalk restaurant after closing this fall for a months-long renovation project.

The restaurant chain, famous for its signature menu of fried and grilled chicken sandwiches, tenders and nuggets, said on Facebook the Norwalk location will hold its grand reopening Thursday.

"We can't wait to welcome you home," the restaurant posted on Facebook this week. "We look forward to seeing all of you again soon!"

According to the company, the renovated Norwalk restaurant will feature dual drive-thru lanes to accommodate additional vehicles with improved flow, along with canopies for team members and guests.

Chick-fil-A Norwalk will also now feature an expanded dining area and parking lot for increased capacity, according to the company.

Archer Bullock Jr. will continue to serve as owner and operator of the Norwalk location, which has served the community for six years.

"We are thrilled to begin serving our community in a new and improved space that will not only provide an exceptional guest experience, but also enhance development opportunities for team members," Bullock said in a statement sent to Patch. "The Norwalk community has been incredibly supportive of our business over the years, and we look forward to welcoming Guests back into the restaurant."

The Norwalk location at 467 Connecticut Avenue closed back in late September as the company announced plans to renovate the building and surrounding parking lot.

Though the restaurant was initially expected to reopen in late fall, the company apologized to customers in early November and said the remodel was "taking a little longer than expected" but promised the wait would be worth it.

"We're incredibly thankful for the community's support of our restaurant since we opened in 2017," Archer Bullock Jr., owner of the Norwalk restaurant, said in a statement sent to Patch in October. "We're excited to invest in these restaurant updates and better meet the needs of our guests and team members."

In addition to a variety of chicken-based menu items, Chick-fil-A is also famous for its wide selection of dipping sauces customers can order with their meal, including Garden Herb Ranch, Zesty Buffalo, Polynesian, Sweet and Spicy Sriracha and the popular Chick-fil-A Sauce.
