Clinton Camp Considered Ursula Burns, CEO of Norwalk-Based Xerox, for VP: Report
Burns, a highly accomplished executive, was one of 39 people Hillary Clinton's advisers contemplated for vice president, reports Gizmodo.

NORWALK, CT — The team advising Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton considered Ursula Burns, CEO of Norwalk-based Xerox, and Connecticut United States Senator Chris Murphy for vice president, reports the tech website Gizmodo, based on leaked emails released by Wikileaks.
Burns, who is stepping down from Xerox, and Murphy, the firebrand senator, were among 39 people considered for the Democratic ticket's second slot. Among the other names floated were Apple CEO Tim Cook; both Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda Gates; Democratic rival Sen. Bernie Sanders; former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg; Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz; and former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick.
The email containing the list was stolen from Clinton's campaign chair John Podesta, and is one of many which has been released by Wikileaks. Podesta reportedly considered it a "first cut" of potential VP nominees, and Sen. Tim Kaine, who eventually became Clinton's choice, also was among those listed.
