Convicted Felon Arrested on Narcotics, Weapons Charges: Norwalk Police
The arrest occurred Monday near Ryan Park in South Norwalk.
NORWALK, CT — Hopeton Marsh, who Norwalk police say is a six-time convicted felon out on parole, was arrested Monday, Sept. 19, near Ryan Park in South Norwalk on narcotics and weapons charges.
Marsh, who is also known by the nickname "Hot Daddy," was spotted by officers allegedly making a drug deal in the park and then driving away.
"Investigators initiated a traffic stop and found Marsh to be in possession of sixteen (16) bags of heroin," police wrote in a statement on the department's Facebook page. "Investigators then located a loaded 9mm pistol with an altered serial number in Marsh's vehicle."

He was charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Firearm
- Weapon in a Motor Vehicle
- Altering Serial Number
- Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit
- Possession of Narcotics With Intent to Sell
- Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell Near a School
- Criminal Trespass, 3rd degree
- Operting with a Suspended License
Marsh was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond and was remanded to the custody the Connecticut Parole division. His court date was not immediately available.
