Defendant Pleads Guilty to Murder of Norwalk Cab Driver

NORWALK, CT - Ramiro Arcos-Garcia, an Elizabeth, NJ man accused of stabbing a Norwalk cab driver to death in December 2014, pleaded guilty to murder charges Wednesday in Stamford court, reports The Hour.

Arcos-Garcia, 34, killed Jackson Pierre-Louis, 51, of Bridgeport, stabbing him in the stomach, chest and neck while on Grove Street in South Norwalk. Reporter John Nickerson writes that Pierre-Louis was able to call 911 after the attack but eventually bled to death.

According to police, Arcos-Garcia claimed the stabbing occurred during a sexual tryst between the two men that turned violent.

By pleading guilty, Arcos-Garcia will receive a 30-year prison term when he is sentenced in August.
