Democrat Bruce Morris To Challenge Mayor Rilling For Norwalk's Top Post: Report
The two will vie for the Democratic Party nomination.

NORWALK, CT — Though an official announcement will come in the future, Democratic state Rep. Bruce Morris (D-140th) is running for mayor of Norwalk, challenging incumbent Democrat Harry Rilling for the party's nomination, reports The Hour.
Morris, who is in his sixth term representing the city in Hartford, is currently Deputy House Speaker. He also serves as an Associate Pastor at Macedonia Church in Norwalk, and famously battled the Norwalk School System in a labor complaint.
While local Democrats appear to have no shortage of candidates for Norwalk's top elected office, the city's Republican Party has yet to announce a candidate of its own.
