Dirty Dishes Led to Norwalk Shooting, and Eventually a Prison Sentence: Report

NORWALK, CT — Terrence Peterson, 26, was sentenced to 12 years in prison Wednesday in connection with the 2012 shooting of his sister's boyfriend during a dispute between Peterson, the sister and the boyfriend over dirty dishes left in a sink, reports the Stamford Advocate.
The shooting occurred in late August of that year in the Roodner Court housing complex on Ely Avenue. Peterson shot the man in the chest; the victim survived and identified Peterson as the shooter.
Peterson, who separately also faced unrelated narcotics and assault charges, must serve eight years of a strict parole program after his prison term.
