District Begins Search For New Principal At Norwalk Middle School
The district also announced the recent retirement and departure of assistant principals at two Norwalk schools.
NORWALK, CT — Norwalk Public Schools will begin a search for a new principal at Nathan Hale Middle School following an announcement Thursday that the school's current principal, Eric Jackson is leaving the district, school officials said.
According to a news release provided by the district, Jackson has served as principal of Nathan Hale Middle School since 2021.
In a message to his school community, Jackson said he's been fortunate enough to work alongside some fantastic teachers, staff, students and families.

"Together, we have been able to accomplish some incredible things," Jackson said in a news release. "I would like to thank everyone for all their hard work and dedication to each other and hope to see the Nathan Hale community continue to grow and make strides in the future."
In the same release, Norwalk Public Schools also announced Joe DeVellis, the assistant principal of Roton Middle School, has retired after dedicating 25 years to Norwalk Public Schools.

Additionally, Rowayton Elementary School Assistant Principal Katina Asmani has been promoted to a principal role outside Norwalk Public Schools, according to the district.
