Former Norwalk Strip Club Owner, Dancer Seek Dismissal of Prostitution and Drug Charges

The two have applied for a court program geared toward first-time offenders.

NORWALK, CT - Gene Morrell and Cassandra “Diamond” Bryan, the owner and a dancer from the former strip club The Office Cafe in East Norwalk, reportedly have applied to the court for Accelerated Rehabilitation to eventually get their December 2015 prostitution and drug charges erased.

Reporter John Nickerson writes in The Hour that the club has since been closed, and Morrell additionally has agreed not to lease the space again and has given up his liquor permit. A judge must approve the application for Accelerated Rehabilitation, which is often available to first-time offenders.

Morrell, of Norwalk, and Bryan, of Mount Vernon, NY, were two of 11 people arrested at the club in December following a lengthy police investigation into alleged drug sales and prostitution at the location.
