Join Special Olympics Norwalk!

Local Program Will Offer Sports, Health Activities for Individuals of All Abilities

A new Special Olympics program in Norwalk will offer athletes of all abilities opportunities to train and compete in sports and benefit from participating in health and fitness activities beginning this fall. Organizers are currently "recruiting" athletes ages 8 and up with intellectual disabilities, Unified Sports® partners - individuals without disabilities who will participate as the athletes' teammates - and coaches, with or without coaching experience.

An informational meeting for anyone interested in joining the Special Olympics Norwalk team will be held at the Norwalk City Hall Community Room, 125 East Avenue in Norwalk on Thursday, May 23rd, from 6 to 6:30 p.m. All are invited to attend.
