Norwalk Artist Jo-Ann Claybourne is pick for it’s “Meet the Artist” program on March 12 at 3 p.m. in the main reception area. Clayborne is a School of Visual Arts trained artist, who also teaches after school art programs with Paint, Draw & More!– in Elementary schools within Fairfield County, CT as well as being an art instructor in senior centers.
The library is celebrating women for the month of March, and Claybourne’s work will be exhibited all monthlong. This is a repeat appearance for the artist.
Claybourne’s enthusiasm for art started when she was young. She states on her website that she first started drawing at the age of five. In March of 2008, she found herself painting on stage while performer Drew Yowell & Jimmy Locust sang and danced “Exceptional Inception!”

Her work appears as print or on totes, t-shirts and note cards, a glimpse that Claybourne takes her career as a commercial artist in many directions. “I want everyone to know the artist Jo-Ann Claybourne,” she said.
