Man Accused Of Assaulting, Threatening Norwalk Officers: Report

Norwalk police said a Danbury man is accused of assaulting and threatening to kill police officers as he was being arrested.

NORWALK, CT — Police said a Danbury man is accused of assaulting and threatening to kill police officers as he was being arrested, the Norwalk Hour reported. Police said the incident occurred Saturday around 10:30 p.m. after officers spotted 32-year-old Juan Ramirez by his disabled car on West Avenue.

According to the Hour, police said officers arrested Ramirez after he failed field sobriety tests. After resisting officers' attempts to handcuff him, the accused was eventually taken to the ground, police said.

Police said the accused was taken to a hospital for evaluation, where he was allegedly belligerent and screamed he was going to kill the officers, according to the Hour. He also allegedly kicked one of the officers in the chest.
