Maritime Aquarium Camp Registration Now Open In Norwalk

NORWALK, CT — Children with a passion for animals and the environment can explore the wonders of the ocean this summer at one of the Maritime Aquarium's camps.

According to a news release provided by the Norwalk aquarium, campers who register by Feb. 29 will receive $50 off total tuition.

"Camp at the aquarium is a chance for kids to get up close and personal with the natural world, both inside and outside of our walls," Camp Director Katie Farley said in a news release. "Campers participate in a variety of memorable experiences including behind the scenes tours, up-close encounters with animals, visits to Calf Pasture Beach, hands-on experiments and more."

Camps are available for children age 6-15 with a wide variety of interests:

Age 6-8

• Amazing Animal Architects featuring hands-on engineering challenges.
• Animal Investigators featuring exciting classroom visits with animals.
• Jr. Aquarist featuring opportunities for campers to learn about and participate in animal care.
• Shark Safari featuring a behind-the-scenes shark feeding.

Age 9-12

• Aquarium Stars featuring exciting classroom visits with animals.
• Fin-Fluencers featuring conservation topics and social media content creation.
• Jr. Field Scientist featuring outdoor adventures and community science projects.
• Jr. Marine Biologist featuring hands-on experiments and opportunities to care for animals.
• Sea Turtles, Seals & More (NEW) featuring development and performance of a theatrical skit.

Age 13-15

• Teen Apprentice featuring hands-on learning behind-the-scenes with aquarium staff.

Camp sessions start the week of June 17. Sessions vary in price and length.
